Youth Collaboration for a Resilent Society

Peace and Education Foundation (PEF) successfully organized a three-day capacity-building workshop titled “Youth Collaboration for a Resilient Society” from April 17-19, 2025, at university of Karachi, Karachi. Funded by the European Union (EU) and conducted in collaboration with the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

The workshop brought together 28 participants from diverse backgrounds, including academia, religious scholars, media influencers, transgender activists, and political workers from Sindh and Balochistan. Participants engaged in interactive group activities, sharing their insights and experiences while identifying key challenges faced by their communities. The discussions focused on preventing violent extremism and fostering resilience within society. The event featured distinguished speakers, including Former Law minister Barrister Shahida Jameel, Samina Qureshi Assistant Professor, Department of Mass Communication, University of Karachi, Imtiaz Ahmad, PhD (Education) Assistant Professor Department of Teacher Education,Faculty of Education University of Karachi. Their expertise provided valuable insights into the role of youth in promoting peace and countering extremist idealogies
